Again, the lady assured me that it would be updated. I provided my insurance info for the 4th time. I offered to hold as long as I needed to, and the lady told me that someone would call me back within 24 hours. I asked to speak with a manager and was told nobody was available. 4 months later, I called back to confirm if they had any updates on my bill amount, and for the 4th time, the rep told me again that they show NO insurance info.

The 3rd person apologized, I told him this was my 3rd attempt and he seemed professional and said he took care of the issue, and I would receive a bill with the correct amount now that he had updated my insurance info. And not to my surprise, for the 3rd time, they still hadn't shown I had any insurance info.

I patiently waited, and then followed up a third time to confirm if the last rep indeed had updated my insurance info via telephone. She informed me that SimonMed had been having issues with their systems and I was not the first to come in to complain. When I went there, the receptionist told me that they had my insurance, and all looked correct.

I went to the SimonMed location where my services were rendered to see if I could have them update my insurance info. I provided the info again and was told to allow ***** days to update. I then received another bill 1.5 months later and called back to customer service and spoke with another rep who informed me that they didn't have any insurance info. I provided the rep with my info and was told to allow ***** days to update. I contacted customer service and was told that they did not receive any of my insurance info. I received a bill that showed I owed $971.00 that did not include my insurance info. How is this legal and how can they still be allowed in business? They are still saying they need another week or 2 to figure it out. I had my insurance company on a conference call with them who told them repeatedly that they need to issue my refund as I have a credit on my account. I called back on June 6 and they said they needed additional time to resubmit an authorization to try to get payment on part of the claim that was denied.

The service rep told me they needed another 45 days so this could be investigated by their backend office because a code on the claim was denied because they didn't include it in the prior-authorization. I called on 4/18/23 and asked about my refund. I called middle of March about my overpayment, and was told to call back in 30 days. It is now and they are still holding my money.


It turns out they overcharged me $171 back in February, 2023. Their policy is not to perform the service until you pay them what they say your insurance will not pay.

Their financial practices should be illegal and they should lose their license to practice. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY!! I would give them zero stars if I could. I have now called and demanded to talk to a supervisor but the supervisor won't pick up their phone so I'm getting nowhere and now have to take this step Now they are saying it has been escalated to a supervisor but again nothing happens. I have called back SimonMed many times and initially kept getting told to wait another week for it to arrive. I checked with the *** provider and they said refunds should come back like a normal credit card so that's not the issue. They say this processed back to our *** MasterCard in April but it never arrived. I have talked to SimonMed and they agreed to refund us the $51.44. Once everything processed the *** stated our responsibility was $399.10 and the *** account quickly asked us to refund/repay the difference. My wife had a procedure and the re-insurance estimate they demanded as prepayment was $450.54 which we paid via our Flexible Spending Account. I have wasted 5/6 hours of my life on the phone with them and am now resorting to this. I am reporting this company for fraudulently taking our money and giving us the non stop runaround when trying to recover what even they agree they owe us.
